Mary L. Bishop went to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 17th, 2026. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Lloyd C. Bishop Sr. Mary is survived by her five children: Connie Moneymaker (George), Lloyd Bishop Jr. (Debbie), Jerry Bishop (Pam) Dorothy Stultz, and Elizabeth Bishop as well as 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was also a retired nurse. "Thank you, Heavenly Father, for letting us have our Dear Loving Mama in our lives. I know we couldn’t keep her forever & you had to call this Sweet Angel Home, but I will always have the part of her you shared with us in My Heart & Memories FOREVER. My Mama, My Best Friend & So Much More!! I will be seeing you & Poppa in our Forever Heavenly Home where we will never have to part again. I Love You Mama. Amen." -Elizabeth "She was a one-of-a-kind mom and the best a child could ever have. She put all five of her children first and foremost."- Connie Mary Bishop, lovingly known as “Nanny”, passed away leaving behind a beautiful legacy of love, faith, and devotion to family. She was the heart of her family and the steady presence so many leaned on for comfort, wisdom, and encouragement. Mary found her greatest joy in spending time with the people she loved. She especially treasured every moment with her grandchildren, creating memories filled with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love. Whether she was cooking a favorite meal, sewing with care, hosting holiday dinners, or simply sitting and sharing heartfelt conversations, Mary had a way of making everyone feel welcomed and deeply valued. She loved camping in the mountains with her beloved husband and spent many happy days at Gwynns Island Campground with her family as well. There she enjoyed God’s creation and the simple peace that came from being surrounded by nature and family. Mary’s faith was the foundation of her life. She read her Bible daily and lived out her strong belief in the Lord through kindness, humility, and compassion toward others. Her faith was not only spoken but clearly seen in the way she loved, forgave, and gave of herself so freely. She leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, honesty, wisdom, and compassion — values that will continue to guide and inspire her family for generations to come. Though her presence will be deeply missed, the lessons she taught, the love she gave, and the memories she created will forever remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. Mary Bishop will always be remembered for her gentle spirit, her generous heart, and the unwavering love she poured into her family and all who knew her.
