Mary Wise

Mary Lowe Wise, 79, of Colonial Heights, passed away Friday, February 25, 2022. She was born on June 21, 1942 to the late Adam and Mary Elizabeth Lowe. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, and caring for her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, John William Wise Sr.; children Dorothy Lipford, Charles Wagoner, and Steve Wagoner; stepson, John Wise Jr.; and four siblings. She is survived by her son, Anthony W. Wise (Shannon); stepdaughter, Darlene Harris; grandchildren, Steven, Summer (Ronnie), Corey, Michael, Milton (Brunna), Shelbi, Gavrielle, Jessica, MaKayla, and Anissa; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; two sisters, Stella and Virginia; and one brother, Ed. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 4, 2022 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2022. Interment will take place at Mill Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery, Ivor, Virginia at 2 p.m., following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the veteran’s charity of your choice.
