Michele Ryan

Michele (Shelly) Patricia Ryan, affectionately known as Nana, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at her residence in Colonial Heights, Virginia.

Remembered with love, she was born in Denver, Colorado on June 11, 1957 the youngest daughter of Hal & Enid Hughes with fiery red hair and big blue eyes.

She grew up in Colorado and loved the Broncos. In her early 30s, she ventured out to Virginia with her kids.

After a career in retail management, she opened her own business, Family Auto Sales, in 2005 with husband Danny and brother-in-law Jr. Recently retired, she loved spending time at Lake Chesdin with her family. Shelly enjoyed the peacefulness of fishing. She also cared deeply for her cherished pet companions.

She was preceded in death by her parents Hal, Enid, and Cleda, brother Larry, and her beloved son Benjamin.

Shelly is survived by her husband of 26 years Danny Ryan, sisters Leslie and Meredith, daughters Terra and Amy, stepson Daniel, nieces Gretchen, Heidi, & Jessica, and nephews David and Patrick.

Her legacy lives on through her adored grand-babies Kimber, Sierra, Trey, Kayla, Kodi, Karista, Andrea, and Kaylee, great grand-babies Bryson, Mason, Logan, & Olivia.
