Patricia Jordan Melvin

Patricia Jordan Melvin, 76, of Hopewell, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. Born in Petersburg, Virginia on February 6, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Osborne “Dick” Jordan and Anna Bland Jordan. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Floyd Allen Rogers, Jr.; second husband, William Matthew Melvin; and her brother, Richard Jordan, Sr.

Patricia worked in the banking industry for many years, working at various local banks throughout the area. She retired from the Federal Reserve Bank after 17 years as a Computer Analyst. She was a member of Matoaca United Methodist Church, and in her free time she enjoyed crocheting, visiting the beach, and adored her cats immensely.

She is survived by her son, Kevin Allen Rogers; two granddaughters, Addyson Jordan Rogers and Emoree Lynn Rogers; special friends, Nancy Coleman, Cindi Melvin, and Brenda Melvin; beloved cat, Beau; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2025, in the Community Outreach Building at Matoaca United Methodist Church, 6301 River Road, S Chesterfield, Virginia 23803. Arrangements are by the Colonial Heights Chapel at the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
