Phillip Eugene Hagerich, 85, of Prince George, VA went home to the Lord on June 5, 2026. He is the late son of Harry and Mary Hagerich (step-mother). He is preceded in death by his sister, Gertrude Hagerich and step sister, Dolores Justinus.

After a successful 23 years with the United States Army, he served another 20 years as a civil servant at Fort Lee. In retirement, he found great enjoyment in being a Scout Leader with the Boy Scouts of America. When he wasn’t around the scouts, he relaxed with a bowl of his favorite ice cream.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Andree Hagerich, sons, Richard Hagerich (Dina), Patrick Hagerich, Michael Hagerich (Rhonda), and grandchildren, Alex, Ben, and Jordan.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at the Crater Road Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes, 3935 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23805. The family will welcome friends an hour prior to the service from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. A graveside service will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23805.
