Ralph R. Daniels, 86, of Cartersville, Virginia, formerly of Colonial Heights, Virginia died on August 16, 2026.

He was born September 13, 1939, in Elkins, W. Virginia, a son of the late Harold Bryant Daniels and Edna Hinchman Daniels Newsom.

He was predeceased by his brother Arthur B. Daniels and sister Winifred D. Heckel.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Lillian Burkett Mercer Daniels; three daughters, Nancy Bradt and husband Joseph Hoggood of Richmond, Virginia, Linda Daniels and Matt Dye of South Dakota, and Patricia Noll and husband Kendrick Noll of Nashville, Tennessee; one stepdaughter, Miriam Smith of Cartersville, Virginia; one stepson, Randy Mercer; two granddaughters, Jessica Bradt and husband Scott Skasick; Kathryn Dellafera and husband Thomas Dellafera Jr., two grandsons, Justin and Austin Noll, three step-grandsons, Nathan Smith, Matthew Smith and wife Courtney, Daniel Smith and wife Amy, sister, Vivian D. Laderach of Huntersville, North Carolina, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Ralph was a 1957 graduate of Petersburg High School, attended John Tyler Community College, University of Virginia, and University of Richmond for special education.

He was a retired employee of Hercules Inc. in Hopewell, Virginia with over 41 years of service, was a long-time realtor and broker, a proud grandfather, and with the help of his wife and family, owned and operated Cedar Ridge/Hope Christmas Tree Farms in Cumberland County.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Park, 2901 W. Hundred Road, Chester, Virginia 23831 with the Rev. Harold Rhoden.

Funeral arrangements are being held by the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory.
