Regena Emory Christiansen

Regena went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 19, 2025. She is preceded in death by her mother, and father, Louise and Elwyn “Sonny” Emory; her brother, Elwyn “Bubba” Emory; and her niece, Lucy Stevens.

She is survived by her husband Robert “Bob” Christiansen; her two sons, Phillip Chappell (Warunee), and Jonathan Chappell; two grandsons, River and Raiden; son-in-law, Jamal Creekmore of Virginia Beach; three grandsons, LJ, Josiah, and Dominic of Virginia Beach; sister, Debbie Stevens; brother, Jerry Emory; three nieces, Heather Sowards (Joe), Jessica Emory, and Heidi Emory; nephew, Matthew Stevens (Rachel); three great-nephews, and four great-nieces; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Regena found deep joy in her work as a nurse, caring for others with compassion and grace. She cherished time spent with her family and felt most at peace by the ocean, where the sound of the waves brought her comfort and happiness.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local ASPCA. Arrangements are being handled by the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small. Condolences may be registered online at ealvinsmall.com
