Regina Mary Zamenick

Regina Mary Zamenick, 87, of Petersburg Virginia, passed away Monday, February 19, 2024. Regina was a devout Catholic consecrated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary. She was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Purtell Vandermark. Regina is also preceded in death by her husband; Lt. Col. Stephen John Zamenick; sisters, Elizabeth Stoddard, Helen O’Shea; and brother, John Vandermark. She is survived by her daughter, Anne E. Zamenick; son, Stephen J, Zamenick, sister-in-law, Donna Vandermark; several nieces and nephews, and beloved friends Elizabeth and Vito Mirro. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 24, 2024 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 7310 Squirrel Level Rd, Dinwiddie, 23805. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Friday, February 23, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Crater Road Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Rd, Petersburg, Virginia 23805.
