Richmond Lewis Scott, 80, of Waverly, VA, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. He was born in Maryland on September 20, 1945, the son of the late Richard Lewis Scott and Evlyn Miller. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Carrol Scott; son, Raymond Charles; and his brother, James H. Scott.
He is survived by his sons, Michael (Melinda), Ronnie (Emily), Victor, Robbie (Cindy), Jerry “Little Jerry”, and Richard (Lee); grandchildren, Michael, Maveric, Matthew, Dillon, Ciara, Little Ronnie, Jacob, Little Vic, Ray Ray, Brad, Beth, Amanda, Carrie, Richie, and Hailey; sister-in-law, Rosalie Scott; and numerous nieces, nephews, grands, and friends.
Richmond served in the United States Air Force and was the owner of Scotts Asphalt Services.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA 23834. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
