Ricky Eugene Vaughn, 65, of S Chesterfield, VA, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2026. Born in Petersburg, VA on May 20, 1961, he was the son of the late Clarence Berthel Vaughn and Virginia Simmons Vaughn.

Ricky spent his working career in the pharmacy industry. He began at Standard Drugs on Sycamore Street in Petersburg, where he worked as a clerk. When Standard Drugs was purchased by CVS, he continued his career at the CVS on Ellerslie Ave in Colonial Heights, starting as a clerk and eventually as a Shift Supervisor. In his free time, Ricky enjoyed antiquing and had a large collection of antiques and unique trinkets. He was a talented musician who enjoyed playing the organ, piano, violin, and several other instruments. He loved spending time at the beach, especially vacationing in the Outer Banks. Ricky was also known for his delicious barbecue, his quick wit, and his wonderful sense of humor. He also cherished his family.

He is survived by his husband of 38 years, Joseph Lukie; siblings, Darrell Craig (Karen), James Vaughn, Sandra Maddox (Bobby), and Sheila Vaughn (Freddy); and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and other extended family members.

The family will receive friends for a memorial visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Monday, June 29, 2026, at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA 23834. Interment will be private.
