Roland Joseph Messina

It’s with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Roland Joseph Messina, 74, of Prince George, Virginia. Roland passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Chippenham Hospital. Born in Fort Lee, VA, Roland was the son of the late Joesph and Herta Messina. He is survived by his sisters, Anna Arnold (Chester), Karin Messina (Colonial Heights), and Butch Messina (Richmond); his nephews, Phillip Arnold and wife, Amy Arnold, Steven Arnold and wife, Susan Arnold, and Adam Arnold and wife, Amanda Arnold; and great-nephews, Gabriel and Greyson.

Roland proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era, after his service in the military he went on to work for JW Fergusson & Sons printing company in Richmond Virginia to finish out his career.

A private gathering for the immediate family was held on Monday at the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA 23834.
