Ronald Hassell

Ronnie Hassell, 64, of Petersburg, died Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at John Randolph Medical Center. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie G. Hassell; sons, Wade, Jeff, and Mike Hassell; step-daughter, Tina Griffith; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Lewis, Albert, and Jimmy Hassell; sister, Marie Connel; devoted friend, Cecil Thompson; numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday May 3, 2008 in the Petersburg Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road with the Rev. Gleason Deal officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Colonial Heights SPCA, 201 Temple Avenue, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834, or the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, Virginia 23058.
