Shawn Mathew Humphrey, 24, of Chesterfield, Virginia passed away on February 10, 2026. Born in Richmond, Virginia, Shawn was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend whose presence brought light and laughter to those who knew him.

Shawn is survived by his parents John and Nadja Humphrey; his sister, Brandy Banty; his maternal grandmother Linda Newman; his paternal grandmother, Johnnie Humphrey; his uncle Richard Newman; his aunt and uncle Robin and Lane Pritchard; and his cousins, Mary Dale Reid and Adelina Newman. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Richard Newman Sr. and his paternal grandfather Earl Humphrey. He was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Shawn was known for his funny personality, his charming smile, and his beautiful eyes. He had a way of making people feel at ease and leaving a lasting impression through is warmth and humor. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
