Susan D. Chitty, 46, of Colonial Heights, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2026. She was born May 1, 1979, and was preceded in death by her father, Clyde Wayne Gauldin, Sr. Susan dedicated many years of service to the Colonial Heights Rite Aid, where she was known for her kindness, reliability, and the friendships she built with coworkers and customers alike. She is survived by her loving husband, William Chitty; her son, Anthony Chitty; her stepdaughter, Ariel Soth, and her sons, JJ and Gavin; her mother, Elaine Gauldin; her brother, Wayne Gauldin, Jr. and his wife, Shirley; her sister, Marsha Dobbin; her nephews, Clyde Wayne “Trip” Gauldin III, Chase William Gauldin (currently serving overseas), Zack Shook, and Brendan Dobbin; as well as many great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E.
