Susan King

Susan Maria King (Kettner), 68, formerly of Petersburg passed away Wednesday, February 23 2022 in the presence of loved ones. She is preceded in death by her parents Dorothy S. Kettner and John F. Kettner, and one sister Marsha Kettner. Susan was a lifelong sales expert and an avid lover of the beach, old movies, and mysteries. She had a way of making everyone feel special to her. She was a very spiritual and family-oriented person, tirelessly spending the last three years of her life caring for her parents and her eldest sister during their last days. She was survived by her siblings, Kathy McCullom (Frank), Chris Kettner (Pam), Carol Furcron (Ricky), Mark Kettner (Margie), Mike Kettner (Lisa), and Joanne Cortinas (Tony); her children Kevin Reed (Ashley) and Angela Marshall (Kenny Potter Jr); many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and grandchildren; Victoria, Kara, Sarah, Shannon, and Kenny III. She will be missed more than she could have ever imagined. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 19, 2022, from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.  Funeral services will be Private.
