Teresa Eledge Merkel

Teresa Eledge Merkel, 66, of Boydton, VA, passed away unexpectedly at VCU Health Hospital on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. She was preceded in death by her father, Angus Eledge; her mother, Laura Eledge; and her daughter, Kimberly Eledge. Teresa is survived by her husband, George Merkel; her daughter, Stephanie Nuckols (James); and two grandchildren, McKenzie Nuckols (Wyatt) and James Nuckols, Jr. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Marc Merkel (Lisa) and their two children, Marc Merkel, Jr. and Amber Merkel. She was a retired Assistant Manager at 7-11 for many years where she loved all of her many customers. She loved spending time with her family, and spending time in Buggs Island on Kerr lake and Nags Head. She also loved swimming, fishing and shopping. The family would like to give huge thanks to all the doctors and the nurses at VCU Health, especially the nurses from C3.
