Terry Bell

Terry Grammer Bell, 68, of Colonial Heights passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021, at her home. Born April 19, 1953, she was the daughter of the late George Edwards and Irmalee Grammer and was also preceded in death by her brother, Rusty Grammer.

She was a lifelong member of Ivey Memorial United Methodist Church. A loving and devoted mother, her greatest accomplishment in life were her two sons, who she cherished dearly. She loved attending their various sporting events as kids and was their biggest cheerleader. An avid gardener, Terry had a green thumb and enjoyed working in her garden.

She leaves to cherish her memory her two beloved sons, Chad Custalow and James “J.C.” Bell; two sisters, Connie Barfell and Peggy Hedblom; two nieces, Christine Hedblom (Francis) and Kaitlin Hedblom (Guillermo); best friend, Melva Armstrong (Bunn) and other extended family members.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 20, 2021, at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes, 2033 Boulevard. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service on Monday from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
