Timothy "Tim" Shane Murphy

Timothy “Tim” Shane Murphy, 80, of Colonial Heights, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2025. Born in Louisiana on August 23, 1944, he was the son of the late Michael Patrick Murphy and Doris Beulah Waters. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Roy Shriver.

Tim worked for FedEx for over 12 years as a driver. He lived a quiet, simple life and found joy in reading, watching TV, and lending a hand to his wife Sandra with her crafting projects.

He is survived by his wife of over 59 years, Sandra G. Murphy; children, Stephanie Watson (Chris), Bryan Murphy (Brenda), and Cindy McCurry (Justin); grandchildren, B.J. (Allyssa), Ashley (Ben), Hannah (Alex), Laura, Josh, Maddie, and Liam; great-grandchildren, Liam, Josie, Matthew, Halle, and Katherine; siblings, Michael Murphy (Sylvia), Carl Shriver, and Steven Shriver (Susan); and many other extended family mambers.

Interment will be private. Arrangements are by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA 23834.
