"In Loving Memory of Trudy Denise (Huffman) Tiller

Trudy, a woman of deep and infectious faith, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at 1:12 a.m., leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, and compassion that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Betty Lowe Huffman and Charles Steve Huffman, and her precious grandson, Weylin Alexander Wolf.

She is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, George Walker Tiller Sr.; her sisters, Carla Huffman Hostetler (Jeff Hostetler), Robin Beth Huffman-Thomas (Mitch Thomas); her children, Serenity Tiller Wolf (Charles Barr), George Walker Tiller Jr., and Steve Sterling Tiller; and her seven living grandchildren, Trystan, Rhyanna, Michael, Benjamin, Emily, Ayden, and Winter, whom she loved with all her heart.

To know Trudy was to know kindness. She had a laugh that filled a room and invited everyone around her to laugh with her. It was contagious in the best way, reflecting the joy she carried and so freely shared with others.

Trudy had an extraordinary gift for making people feel seen, valued, and loved. She never met a stranger for long, and she had a way of leaving a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. Whether someone was family, a lifelong friend, or someone she had only just met, she made them feel like they mattered. She was a peacemaker, a conciliator, and a spreader of love. Wherever there was hurt, she sought healing. Wherever there was division, she chose understanding. She gave encouragement freely, offered comfort without hesitation, and loved without keeping score. Trudy held several different jobs over the years and left a wake of love for her coworkers wherever she went. Her life's greatest work was caring for people.

Though her family grieves deeply, they rejoice in the promise of her faith. Trudy loved the Lord, and they find comfort in knowing she is now in His presence where pain has ended, peace is complete, and she has been reunited with those who went before her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2026, from 3pm-5pm at Way Church 5201 Courthouse Rd, Prince George, Virginia 23875.  Everyone is warmly invited to join in celebrating Trudy's life, sharing memories, and honoring the love she gave so freely. In keeping with the spirit of fellowship that Trudy cherished, guests are invited to bring a covered dish to share from 5pm-6pm, immediately after the service. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a worthy cause. Trudy was a supporter of Samaritan's Purse, World Central Kitchen, St Jude's, Ronald McDonald House, and her church.

Those who knew Trudy will remember her laughter, her compassion, and the way she made everyone she met feel important. Her love lives on in the countless lives she touched, and her legacy will continue through the family and friends who were blessed to call her theirs." Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Crater Road Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Cremator 3935 S. Crater Road Petersburg, Virginia 23805.
