Victoria “Vicky” Beryle Wray, 62, of Colonial Heights, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025. She was born in Petersburg, Virginia on March 4, 1963.
Vicky lived a simple yet fulfilling life, finding joy in the little things and the people she loved most. She worked as a dedicated cashier at Sam’s Club for 15 years, where her kindness and work ethic were admired by many. In her free time, she loved attending craft shows, spending time with her beloved cats, and being surrounded by family. Vicky had a well-known fondness for butter- she was famous for putting it on just about anything. Vicky was also known for her fiery personality- she could be argumentative at times, loved to stir the pot, and wasn’t afraid to raise a little hell with her family, all in her own unforgettable way. She enjoyed traveling, whether it was relaxing on cruises, visiting the mountains, spending time at the beach shopping at local shops, or visiting Amish Country in Pennsylvania with her husband.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Marguerite “Magwheels” Hargrave; her paternal grandmother, Esther Potter; and great-niece, Mekayhla Bishop. She is survived by her sons, Clint Thomas Wade (Danielle) and Michael Beryle Wray; grandchildren, Dallas and Georgia Wade; father and stepmother, Henry and Claretta Lange; mother, Sharon Webb; sisters, Pamela Cobain, Tracy Masi (Roger Cordle), and Stacey Wray (Revel); nephews, Allen Masi (Genesis), Steven Bishop, and Richard Wray (Yasmyne); nieces, Deanie Bishop, Ashley Smith, and Jasmine Lange (Jalen); her “angel on earth”, aunt Betty Robertson; special friend, Mary Wynn; and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and other extended family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, S Prince George, Virginia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
