Virginia Ann McClellan, 92, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 2, 2023. Born on September 25, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Ronald Earl Shaw and Courtney Kirkpatrick, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Franklin McClellan; sister, Carrie Miller; and brother, Wayne Collett. She was member of Calvary Baptist Church but also a shining example of its teachings. Virginia's unwavering faith and commitment to her spiritual beliefs guided her throughout her life, shaping her into the compassionate and loving person she was.
At the heart of Virginia's life was her role as a homemaker. She found joy and fulfillment in creating a warm and welcoming home for her loved ones. Her dedication to her family knew no bounds, and her nurturing spirit was evident in every meal cooked, every room tidied, and every hug shared.
Beyond her domestic pursuits, Virginia possessed a remarkable talent that touched the lives of many – her extraordinary expertise as a pianist. Music flowed from her fingertips, and her piano performances were nothing short of enchanting. During her early years, she was a regular presence in the local church, where her melodious voice would resonate through the hallowed halls. Even as a child, her singing had a remarkable quality that would captivate the congregation. Virginia also loved going on cruise at Brunetti's on the weekend.
One of the greatest joys in Virginia's life was spending time with her beloved grandchild and great-grandchildren. Their laughter filled her heart with immeasurable happiness, and she embraced every opportunity to create cherished memories with them.
She is survived by her daughter, Freda Walker and husband, David; granddaughter, Crystal Campbell and husband, Mike; great-grandchildren, Connor, Christopher, Roselyn; sister, Julie Fisher and husband, Chris; Nieces, Diane Allen and Mitzi Fisher; nephews, Eddie Allen and wife, Cathy; Danny Fisher Jr., and wife, Stacey; and great-nephew, Bailey Fisher.
