Willa Nadine Shackelford

Willa Nadine Shackelford, 89, of North Dinwiddie, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at Colonial Heights Health Rehab Center.  She was a retired employee at The Defense General Supply Center in Richmond. Mrs. Shackelford loved the outdoors, gardening, and tending to her own home.  She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Columbus Wayne and Goldie Sally Wadell Farmer, and her husband, Howard Shackelford Jr.  She is survived by her two sons, William Phillip Murray and wife, Betty, Mark Wayne Murray and wife, Rhonda; five stepchildren, Joe, Neal, Adam, Wendy and Betty; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family members.  A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Crater Road Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23805.  Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, S.
