William Archer

William P. Archer, 91, of Colonial Heights, passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at Bon Secours Southside Regional Medical Center.  He was born March 23, 1930, in Petersburg, Virginia to the late John G. and Ella Parham Archer, and was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia P. Archer; and grandson, Gregory E. Saunders.  William was a United States Army Veteran who served in the Korean War, and retired after 42 years from Tarmac. After retirement, he went to work for John’s Produce where he sold fresh vegetables. He had a passion for growing a vegetable garden and restoring old cars. William is survived by his son, Robert P. Archer; daughter, Sandra A. Rose; two sisters, Mary A. Grotz and Ruth A. Stuckey; brother in-law, Donald R. Vaughan; sister in-law, Thelma Archer; and numerous nieces and nephews. A private family graveside will be held at Blandford Cemetery. The family would like to thank all his medical team at the Bon Secours Southside Regional for the care he received.
