Willie Edward McCaffity

Willie Edward McCaffity, 83, of South Prince George, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2025. Born in North Carolina on September 17, 1942, he was the son of the late Clyde Columbus McCaffity and Oma McLawhorn McCaffity. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara Newton McCaffity, and his siblings, Lena Whitehead, Nancy Poole, JoAnn Young, Lovey Elizabeth McCaffity, Bruce Allen McCaffity, Jackie Ray McCaffity, Billie McCaffity, and Troy Lee McCaffity. Willie worked for Food Lion Distribution in the shipping and receiving office for over 20 dedicated years. In his free time, he enjoyed going hunting and fishing. He is survived by his sons, Steve Allen McCaffity and Howard Elmore; grandchildren, Reese Aaron McCaffity, Ashly Marie McCaffity, Faith Logan McCaffity, and Brittany Rudisill; brother, Pete McCaffity; sister, Oma Faye Chamberlain; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 17, 2025, in Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, S Prince George, Virginia 23805. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at the Crater Road Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes, 3935 S Crater Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23805.
