Yvonne Jones Miles

Yvonne Jones Miles, 86, of Colonial Heights, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 11, 2024. She was born February 19, 1938, to the late Donald Hicks and Kinkead Young Voshall. Yvonne dedicated many years of service to the Colonial Heights Public Schools as the director of Food Services. She was a former member of Immanuel Baptist Church and the Colonial Heights Senior Citizens group. Yvonne was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her children, Sharon Koutnik and husband Chuck, son, Donald F. Gittman, her grandchildren, Kevin Payne, Melissa Suyes and husband Brian, Donald F. Gittman Jr., great-grandchildren, London, and Nolan Suyes, James and Kendal Payne a brother, Donald Voshall and wife Nancy, and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Southlawn Memorial Park 1911 Birdsong Road S. Prince George 23805 with the Reverend Jerry Parker officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
