Betty Lashea

Betty Ann Compton LaShea, 75, of Colonial Heights, passed away October 3, 2021. She worked hard all her life and was most recently a caregiver to the disabled. She loved her cats, collecting Betty Boop, latch hook, and coloring. She was preceded in death by her brother, Earl Compton; and former husband, Luke Compton. Betty is survived by her daughter, Cassandra Green (Leroy); sisters, Elsie Turner, Lois Touvell, and Mildred Hayward; grandchildren, Calishia Hobbs and Ashley Hobbs; four great-grandchildren; cat, Bootsy; and dear friends who she cared for, Chase Van Harran and Joey Rousch. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, October 8, 2021 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
