Betty Medeiros

Betty Hawkins Medeiros, 69, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021.  She was born on May 12, 1951 in Petersburg, Virginia, and was the daughter of the late, John Edward Hawkins Sr. and Beatrice Vernell Hawkins.  Mrs. Medeiros was preceded in death by her three brothers, John Hawkins, Richard Hawkins, and Robert Hawkins.  She was a member of Colonial Heights Baptist Church and was retired from K-Mart as a store associate.  She was a member of the Colonial Heights American Legion Auxiliary and the Optimist Club.  She is survived by her husband, Charles Edward Medeiros Sr.; her sons, Chuck Medeiros (Kelly), John Michael Medeiros (Tami), and Mario Medeiros; grandchildren, Tyler Medeiros, Marissa Medeiros, Conner Medeiros, Rachel Medeiros, Ashleigh Medeiros, and Lauren Medeiros; great-granddaughter, Gianna Batts; sister, Jean Coats.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Arrangements by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.  Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.
