Charles Moore

Charles “Charley” Moore, 72, of Chester, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2020. He was born on September 29, 1947, to the late Edgar Earl and Lillie Bell Moore. Mr. Moore served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was a retired distributor for Capital News Agency, Richmond. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Moore; and siblings, Joseph Moore, James (Hopper) Moore, Joyce Britton, and Nell Robinette. He is survived by his daughter, Carey Thompson (Dwayne); grandchildren, Ashely Vaughan, D.J. Thompson, and Tiffany Thompson; great-grandchild, Kinsley Palmer; sister, Linda Wiseman; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2020, at Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, S. Prince George, Virginia 23805.
