Jean Moore

Jean G. Moore, 74, of Colonial Heights, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2021 at John Randolph Medical Center. She was born March 10, 1947 to the late Eugene Edward and Annie Curtis Gravitte. Mrs. Moore was a member of the Richmond Shag Club, the Hopewell Moose Lodge # 1472, the American Legion Post #2 and the Petersburg Eagles Club # 882.  She and her husband loved to dance and would attend the Shagging on the Sand (SOS) in Myrtle Beach. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, James H. “Jimmy” Moore; daughter, Theresa L. Hudson and her husband, Ron; son Edward Moore and his wife, Ashley; grandchildren, Lauren Cook, Kellsie Hackett (Jesse), Chad Moore, Lexi Moore, Megan Moore; and great-grandson, Jaxon Hackett.  Funeral services will be private.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hopewell Moose Lodge # 1472, 4701 Western Street Hopewell, Virginia 23860.
