Jeannie Buhrman

Jeannie Myers Buhrman, 65, of Colonial Heights passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2022. Born February 28, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Yvonne Jones and Edward John Myers, Sr., and was also preceded in death by her son, Andrew Nicholas Buhrman; brother, Edward John Myers, Jr.; and nephew, Justin Edward Myers.

She was known for her amazing work ethic, starting at her family’s business, Short Stop Grocery, for about 14 years, then moving to Ukrops, where she worked for 12 years. After her time with Ukrops, she worked for Suntrust Bank for nine years before finally retiring.

A loving and devoted mother, nanny, sister and cat mom, the love she had for her family was unmeasurable. Coming in at a close second was I Love Lucy, The Beatles and ABC soap operas.

She is survived by her son, Christopher Michael Buhrman and wife, Abbey; granddaughter, Aubrey Ann Buhrman; sister-in-law, Patricia B. Myers; niece, Lauren Myers Stiglich; cat-child, Piper; other extended family members and many friends. The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to Mrs. Jeannie’s aides, Stephanie Webster, Krysten Callahan and Jordan Tingley, as well as everyone involved at Consumer Direct.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday night, April 25, 2022 at the funeral home.
