Jerry Baker, Jr.

Jerry Wayne Baker, Jr. 56 of Petersburg, passed away, Saturday, January 9, 2021.  He was preceded in death by his parents Henry Dixon and Joyce McSwain Lee; and brother Joseph Lee.  Jerry is survived by his two sons, Jerry Baker III and Jeffery Baker; granddaughter, Mary Jane Elizabeth Baker two sisters, Gayle Mathis and Janet Weaver (Lloyd); nieces and nephews, Nicole Tant (Steven), Jackie Mathis Kruse (Michael), Michael Mathis, James Mathis, and Starr Lee Caldwell (Kalabe); cousin, Stacey Faille (Richard); and several great-nieces and great-nephews.  Jerry was a talented mechanic and worked at Strosnider’s Chevrolet for many years.  He enjoyed working in his yard until his health prevented him.  Interment will be private.
