Linda White

Linda Jean White, 70, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2021.  She was born in Gloucester, Massachusetts on September 26, 1950.  She was the daughter of the late Everett L. Durden and Hazel Doncaster Thompson.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Charles White Sr.

She was the proprietor, along with her husband Paul, of the Suburban Shopper advertising newspaper.   Linda was a very active member of the Colonial Heights and Hopewell Moose Lodges. While at the Colonial Heights Moose Lodge she was on the board, where she earned her Senior Regent and Red Coat.  She later continued her active service with the Hopewell Moose Lodge where she bartended, waited tables, and worked the Queen of Hearts.  She is especially remembered for being the “Queen” of Bingo where she continued to spread joy and happiness. While at the Moose she touched many lives and made multiple priceless friendships.  She loved her friends with all her heart, and her family even more.

She is survived by a daughter, Diane L. Steele; son, Paul C. White Jr. (Barbara A.); grandchildren, Kyle Fuller, Brianna White, Lawson Steele, Mason Steele, Nolan Steele, and Charlie White; numerous brothers, sisters, nieces & nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 2, 2021 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.  Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, Virginia.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.
