Rachel Marie Mcmullen

Rachel Marie “Meemaw” McMullen, 80, of Colonial Heights, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at home after an extended hospice stay. She was born in Alleghany County, Virginia on July 21, 1939 to the late Dolph and Gussie Wright. Meemaw was a longtime member of Harrowgate Worship Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Delano McMullen, Sr. Meemaw was a proud military wife and was always there to support her children and her husband who served in the United States Air Force. She enjoyed scrapbooking, cooking for church functions, and collecting porcelain dolls and roosters. She was everyone’s “Meemaw” and she will be dearly missed by all those who loved her. Meemaw is survived by her children, Alice Shelton, Franklin Delano McMullen, Jr. (Chrystal), Sherry Boggs (Michael), and Rebecca Emory; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Rosetta Schumaker; and numerous nieces and nephews.
