Sherry Dutton

Sherry Ellen Francis Dutton, 54, of Colonial Heights, passed away on June 2, 2021. Born February 28, 1967, to Gloria Allen and Walter Francis Jr. Ms. Dutton was preceded in death by her father. She attended Immanuel Baptist Church. Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting, and acts of charity, particularly with the Walk for Life (for over 30 years) and many local soup kitchens. She was a cancer survivor and a friend to whoever was blessed enough to know her. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Paul Dutton; mother, Gloria Allen; brother, Timmy Francis; half-sister, Rebecca Mears; two sisters-in-law, Linda L. Burt (Wilbur) and Darlene Bass (David); and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 7, 2021 in Immanuel Baptist Church, 620 Lafayette Avenue, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834. A visitation will be held an hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Appomattox Cemetery, 703 North 21 ^st Avenue, Hopewell, Virginia, 23860. Flowers are welcome but if preferred contributions may be made to the Pregnancy Support Center of The Tri-Cities, Inc., 700 S. Sycamore Street, Petersburg, Virginia 23803.
