Norman Ray Hicks, 58, of Amelia, passed away suddenly on Monday, April 5, 2021. Born on November 6, 1962, he was preceded in death by his father, Norman Eugene “Red” Hicks and brother-in-law, George Main.
Ray loved life, he loved hunting, fishing and riding his custom motorcycle. But most of all . . . he loved his family. He was an expert carpenter for over 30 years, and he learned the trade of welding. He worked for Matt Pursel at IR Engraving … which he enjoyed.
He is survived by his mother, Ruth Hicks; two sisters, Patsy Holmes (Gordon) and Linda Main; brother, Durward Hicks (Betty); a niece & nephew; and his lifetime friend, Marcia Billow.
A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2021 in Sunset Memorial Park, 2901 W. Hundred Road, Chester, Virginia 23831.
